So we finished in Dublin and starting adventuring to the outerlands.
Our first port of call is the town of Kilkenny for some of the most amazing senery about, all the green fields and skinny bendy roads to the moterways with the fuelstations with everything from gum and nick nacks to fast food joints and bottleshops all in one, one could spend more time in here then they should and probably call it a holiday. ( maybe next get away idea? )
The town itself is quite a gem with several attractions and rich history, and massive old castle with ample grounds, including free entry to the castleyards ( across the street), that was filled with a small Christmas decorated area with lights, nutcrackers, elf cut outs, few anamals and Santa's grotto, if your after entry into the castle itself its about €8 for a full guided tour, as impressiveas the area was, i wasn't fully phased about the tour or the inside of the building itself.
Most entry tours tend to be about the same price ( €8 ) but their is plenty to see for free, just a matter of heading to the visitors centre for the best deals or guidance but there is plenty of sights of the river banks and bridges, tucked away alleyways, cute shops and the impressive cathedral in centre of town.
Our next stop was at the St Patrick's rock outside the town of Cashel. And for, you guessed it ( €8 ). It features awe inspiring veiws and size of the cathedral castle rock itself, and to be able to walk through the massive archaeological site itself.
It's hard to imagine what these places looked like in its day, but its amazing that hundreds of years later these places stand the test of time, hats off to the builders of the day and the massive works that would have gone into them becausw none of these places would have been build in no small time.
Now we are on our way to the City of Cork where our next adventure lies.
Do be sure to check out my intrasgarm Matowitz2 for more photos and i FINALLY have my big camera working properly so when i can ill be uploading those photos too, and as always, take care of yourselves...
